Will rolling chairs damage the floor? Castor wheels are very abrasive. Our SPC Vinyl ranges feature a commercial wear layer designed to resist this. However, to guarantee the lifespan of any floor (Wood, Laminate, or Vinyl), we always recommend using protective chair mats under desks. It is a small investment that keeps the floor looking brand new.

Does the flooring reduce echo? Yes. SPC Vinyl is significantly quieter than ceramic tiles or standard laminate. For the ultimate acoustic performance, ensure you select a product with a built-in acoustic underlay, which further dampens sound transmission between floors.

Can we install over raised access floors? Our flooring is a “floating” system, meaning it needs a flat, solid subfloor. If you have raised access tiles, you can usually lay our flooring on top provided the tiles are perfectly level and stable. If there is movement, we recommend overlaying with plywood first.
